Terms of Use

These terms cover Rewise Air, the Rewise app, the Rewise server (control away from home) and the Rewise skill for Amazon Alexa, together "Rewise". By setting up or using Rewise you agree to them. Rewise is run by Luca Veiga Regianini in Malta; contact support@rewisehome.com.

The pilot

Rewise is in a pilot phase. Pilot units include every available feature, including control away from home, at no extra cost. Features may change, and some described as coming later may arrive after you buy. We'll tell pilot users before anything they rely on changes, including how long free control away from home continues if the service moves to new hosting.

Using Rewise

• Use Rewise only with air conditioners and networks you're allowed to control.
• Rewise sends the same infrared signals as your AC's remote. It can't see whether your AC actually received a command, so don't rely on it where a missed command could cause harm (for example to people, pets or sensitive equipment that need a set temperature). Keep the original remote.
• Temperature, humidity and any energy figures are estimates from a small sensor and models, not certified measurements.
• Control away from home and Alexa need your internet connection and the Rewise server to be working. Control on your home Wi-Fi keeps working without them.
• Don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or access devices that aren't yours.

Software and updates

Rewise Air and the app receive software updates, which may install automatically. Updates are signed, and Rewise Air checks every update before installing it and returns to the previous version if an update fails. Rewise remains our software; you may use it with your Rewise devices.

Your account and Alexa

Keep your home's pairing code private: anyone with it can control your devices. Linking Alexa lets Alexa control your Rewise devices; you can unlink at any time in the Alexa app. Amazon's own terms apply to your use of Alexa.

Guarantee and your rights

If you're a consumer in the EU, you have a legal guarantee of at least two years for Rewise Air, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under Maltese and EU consumer law. Contact us first if something isn't working; we'll repair, replace or refund as the law requires.

Liability

Within what the law allows, Rewise isn't liable for indirect losses, such as energy costs, discomfort, or damage caused by an AC running or not running. This doesn't limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law.

Ending

You can stop using Rewise at any time: remove your devices in the app and unlink Alexa. We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the new version will be posted here with a new date, and important changes will be announced in the app. These terms are governed by the law of Malta, and you can also use the courts of the EU country you live in.
