Set up Rewise Air

You'll need your iPhone, your Wi-Fi password and your AC's remote.

1. Get the Rewise app

During the pilot, the Rewise app comes through TestFlight: open the invitation link you were sent, install TestFlight, then install Rewise.

2. Place Rewise Air

• Put it where it can "see" the front of your air conditioner, like a remote would: on a shelf or desk in the same room, with nothing blocking the view.
• Keep it out of direct sun and away from heaters, TVs and computers, so the room temperature stays accurate.
• Plug it into a USB-C phone charger with the cable in the box. The light blinks while it waits to be set up.

3. Connect it

Open Rewise and add a new device. The app finds Rewise Air over Bluetooth, asks for your Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz) and connects it. Keep your phone close until it's done.

4. Teach it your AC

Point your AC's own remote at Rewise Air and press any button once. Rewise recognises your AC and you're done. If you don't have the remote, the app tries likely brands until your AC answers.

Something not working?

• The light keeps blinking: Rewise Air can't reach your Wi-Fi. If your network changed, open the app and set it up again. It also opens its own setup hotspot and Bluetooth by itself.
• The AC doesn't react: move Rewise Air so nothing blocks the line to the AC, and check the AC is in standby (not switched off at the wall).
• Setting it up for someone new: unplug it, plug it back in, and within one minute press any button on any IR remote 10 times, pointed at Rewise Air. The light blinks with each press, then Rewise Air is ready to be set up again for 10 minutes. Nothing is erased unless you set it up again.
